* The ruling of the menstruating Woman sitting at the place of Saa'y
Question : Is it permissible for the woman who is menstruating to sit at the place of Saa'y?
Answer : Yes, it is permissible for the woman who is menstruating to sit at the place of Saa'y, because the place of saa'y is not considered a part of the Sacred Mosque. For that reason, if the woman gets her menses after Tawaf and before Saa'y, she may perform Saa'y because Sa'y is not the Tawaf, and purity is not a condition of it. Based on this, we say that if the menstruating woman sits at the place of Saa'y waiting for her family, there is no sin on her for that.

* The ruling on delaying the Saa'y after the Tawaf
Question: What is the ruling on the person who performs Tawaful-Ifadhah and he does not perform Saa'y until the sun sets after the last days of At-Tashreeq? And what is the ruling on the Saa'y if the person performed Saa'y after sunset on that day and after the days of At-Tashreeq?
Answer: The performance of Saa'y during the last days of At-Tashreeq or after the days of At-Tashreeq is correct. There is no sin on delaying it, because it is not condition of its correctness that it must be done with the Tawaf. However, it is from perfection that it is done along with the Tawaf-immediately after it-in following the Prophet(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

* Women jogging between the two green lights during Saa'y
Question: Regarding the jogging between the two green (lights) in the saa'y, with respect to women, in my limited readings through the books of fiqh in the chapters pertaining to Hajj and Umrah, I have not found anything which prevents the women from the jogging. I once heard one of the scholars on television say that the woman does not jog when perfroming the saa'y, rather it is specific to the men only. This is because it is more protective for the woman such that she does not reveal (mafaatinahaa) that which causes fitnah whilst she is jogging. However, he did not mention any evidence for his statement. So I said to myself, if my opinion is correct from his ijtihaad, then the jogging is also a Sunnah which Haajar (radhi-ya Allaahu 'anhaa) started, however, and all praise is due to Allah (alone), I understand the (Shaykh’s) opinion, and all praise is due to Allah (alone), that the religion is not based upon (unqualified) opinions, as the Ameer al-Mu.mineen ‘Alee (radhi-yAllaahu 'anhu) said. Please advise us, and may Allaah bless you, since I take my family for Umrah from time to time and we need to know that which is correct/authentic regarding this issue?
Answer: Ibn al-Munthir said: The people of knowledge agree that there is no jogging for the women around the House (Ka'bah), and nor (in the saa'y) between (the green lights of) Al-Safa and Al-Marwah, and nor are they to place the ridaa (top part of the ihraam) under their right armpits; This is because the principle behind the two is to show stamina and hardiness, and that is not meant for the women, because what is meant for the women is to cover themselves, and since the jogging involves placing the ridaa ( top part of the Ihram) under their right armpits then this leads to displaying and revealing.

* The tawaf and Saa'y of one being carried
Question: The one who is performing the Saa'y or Tawaf carrying a small child or someone who is ill, is he rewarded for the Saa'y and Tawaf along with the one he is carrying or not?
Answer: The one who is carrying is rewarded for his intention, and the one carried is rewarded for his intention so long as all his faculties are sound. This is the more appropriate of the two opinions amongst the scholars.
And only Allah knows.

* Ruling regarding the Tawaf or the Saa'y once the obligatory prayer begins
Question: What is the ruling about the one performing the Hajj or the Umrah and when the obligatory prayer begins, he has not finished the Tawaaf or Saa'y?
Answer: He should pray with the congregation, and then continue his Tawaf or Saa'y from where he had stopped (just before the prayer). So he starts from where he stopped.

* Did not cut or shave off hair after completing the Saa'y
Question: One who was performing the 'Tamattu' Hajj performed the Saa'y then changed into his normal clothes but did not shave or cut his hair. Later, after Hajj, he asked about this and was informed that he had made a mistake. What is he now supposed to do since the time for Hajj has passed?
Answer: This man is regarded as one who has neglected an obligatory act from the obligatory acts of the Umrah and that is either shaving or cutting the hair. According to the People of Knowledge, he is required to make a sacrifice as expiation and distribute (the meat) to the poor and needy in Mecca and his Hajj is not affected.
